In order to apply for a rezone a property owner(s) must submit the following to the city recorder: 1. A completely filled out Rezone Application 2. Payment of rezone fees 3. A complete legal description of the property proposed to be rezoned 4. A list of all adjacent property owners within three hundred (300) feet of the property proposed for rezone and their addresses Once these are submitted to the city recorder, the recorder will review them and put the application on a Planning Commission Agenda. The application will go through the following review process by the Planning Commission and City Council: 1. During a regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting, the Commission will determine whether or not to hold a public hearing on the proposed rezone. If the Commission determines to hold the public hearing a notice advertising the hearing will be published per state requirements. 2. At the determined date of the public hearing, the Commission will hear all public questions, comments, and concerns regarding the proposed rezone. *The City will notify the adjacent property owners of the proposed rezone. 3. At the same Planning Commission meeting that the hearing is held, the Commission could review the rezone application and motion to make a recommendation to the city council. 4. At the next available City Council, the Council will review the application and recommendation from the Planning Commission to determine whether or not to approve the proposed rezone.
