The Farr West City Public Works Department and Storm Water Department are tasked with many responsibilities that help the city run effectively. Some of these responsibilities include: roads, sewer, parks, city facilities, storm water, garbage can deliveries/replacements, and snow plowing. These departments are busy year around working hard to make the city a pleasant place to live, work, and play. As of January 1, 2024, all excavation and bore permit applications must be submitted online. The following information must be submitted with each permit application: 1. Bond, exceptions may apply 2. Liability Insurance information 3. Complete traffic plan 4. Detail plan of work area Additional requirements: *Pre-construction verification of ALL city utilities (storm water and sewer), possible pot hole or camera footage of each utility *Post-construction verification of ALL city utilities (storm water and sewer), possible camera footage of each utility Permits will not be approved until all required information is submitted. *An inspection will be required at each pre and post construction utility verification, these inspections can be scheduled through the office at 801-731-4187.
