If you are building a new residential home in Farr West you will need to submit the following documents via our online portal at  farrwest.portal.iworq.net/portalhome/farrwest
  1. One set of wet stamped engineered building plans (pdf upload) 
  2. A site plan
  3. RESCheck
  4. Structural Calculations
  5. SWPPP Documents (Common Plan SWPPP, NOI, and acknowledgment letter)
  6. Water receipts from culinary water and secondary water
Once all required documents are submitted to the city the application process will begin. The building official will review all building plans and documents. After the building official finishes his review the SWPPP documents will be reviewed and verified by the storm water manager. Once the permit has been approved by both the building official and the storm water manager an invoice will be sent to the applicant's email address.  If any revisions are necessary, an email will be sent requesting additional information or documentation.
*Please note:
  • The building permit process takes on average 10-14 days. 
  • If an invoice has been sent, the permit application has been approved and is ready for payment. 
  • After payment has been processed, the permit will automatically be opened and valid.
