Weber County is actively administering COVID-19 vaccines. Please click on the link below to see who is eligible at this time and to see answers to other frequently asked questions. There is also a link to see where upcoming Vaccine Clinics will be. Farr West City is not involved in vaccinations in anyway. 2020 CARES ACT REPORT - POSTED MARCH 15, 2021
In 2020 Farr West City received CARES Act funds from the U.S. Treasury. Farr West joined with Weber County and 14 other cities in efforts to disburse a portion of those funds to small businesses and others in the county in need. City Hall and Senior Center Update: February 23, 2021
City Hall is now open during regular business hours (Mon-Thurs 8-4pm, Fridays 8am-Noon) to conduct city business. If you are able to contact your business over the phone or over email, please do so. City meetings are still being held virtually for the public. The Senior Center is now open for classes. Meals are still being provided at various senior centers through the county for pick-up and go only. No meals will be served at the Senior Center at this time.
Easter Egg Hunt Cancellation: February 23, 2021
After much collaboration, the celebrations committee has decided to cancel this year's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The committee determined that there is no plan that would allow for participants and city staff to follow social distancing and sanitation guidelines during this activity. Keep checking the city's website for updates on celebrations, as planning for other events has already commenced.
Senior Center Closure Notice: October 23, 2020
The Senior Center is now closed due to the county's move to the high transmission level. The status of the senior center will be revisited after the county moves back to moderate.

Fall Bash Cancellation
This year's fall bash has been officially cancelled. The city council determined that there is no plan to would allow for residents and city staff to follow social distancing guidelines and hold the Fall Bash celebration. We are saddened not to be able to gather for a fun and safe Halloween but look forward to next year and hope you will all join us.
Rec Center Update: June 1st
The Farr West City Rec Center will be reopening on June 1st with the following regulations:
- THE CENTER WILL BE OPERATING UNDER SUMMER HOURS
- STAY HOME IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL
- CHILD PLAY/CARE AREA WILL REMAIN CLOSED AT THIS TIME
- MAINTAIN THE 6FT SOCIAL DISTANCING STANDARDS
- WEARING A MASK IS SUGGESTED WHEN NOT DOING CARDIO WORKOUTS
- WIPE DOWN ALL MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED DURING YOUR WORKOUT
- SANITIZE HANDS BEFORE ENTERING THE CENTER AND WHEN LEAVING
- MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE SANITIZED TWICE A DAY BY STAFF
- USE EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY AT YOUR OWN RISK
Freedom Festival Decision: May 7th

At the May 7th City Council meeting the council decided to cancel all Freedom Festival events due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was not made lightly as the council strives to protect the health and well-being of citizens of Farr West and surrounding areas. The council hopes to be able to celebrate with everyone at a later time this year. Although we won't be coming together for the holiday, the council still wishes all Farr West residents and everyone else a happy and safe 4th of July Holiday!

Rec Center Update: May 6th
Per the Mayor's decision the Rec Center will likely be closed until Fall. At this time, the city is unable to comply with the restrictions placed by the health department in this phase. If anything changes updates will be posted on this page.
Update: May 1st - Moving into Orange
As the state moves into the Orange phase of the COVID-19 Plan little will change for Farr West City. Below is a list of specifically what is happening in the city. If a event/facility is not on the list it is likely remaining closed/cancelled until additional directives from the state. The city appreciates the public's patience and willingness to help us follow the directives from Governor Herbert. City Business is still being conducted by appointment only, so please call the city offices 801-731-4187 with city business inquires.

COVID-19 Baseball Update: April 15, 2020
After much consideration and collaboration with other cities, the Rec Director has decided to cancel the baseball season. Registration fees can be refunded or held for the flag football season in August. We appreciate all of your patience and willingness to help the city follow the directives from Governor Herbert in regards to COVID-19. We hope to see you all next year for a great baseball season!
COVID-19 UPDATE: APRIL 3, 2020
Effective Monday April 6, 2020 the Farr West City Offices will be closed to the public. The Mayor has made the decision to close the lobby for the safety of the public as well as the staff that is still working inside the building. If you need to conduct business with the city please call 801-731-4187 or email (specific email addresses are on the city's website). This order will be in effect until further notice.

COVID-19 Update: Following President Trump's press release yesterday, the Mayor has decided to implement the following:
1. The Annual Easter Egg scheduled for April 11 has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
2. The March 19th City Council Meeting has been cancelled (By law City Council must be held once a month, a meeting will be tentatively held sometime in April).
3. The March 26th Planning Commission has been cancelled.
4. The baseball season will be discussed by city rec directors on April 6th and the city will keep the public updated.
5. The Fishing Club has been postponed until the Fall.

COVID-19 UPDATE: MARCH 13, 2020
The State of Utah recommended several proactive measures to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Utah Communities. Farr West City firmly supports these efforts and has implemented the following preventative measures.
City Council and Planning Commission Meetings will continue at this time as regularly scheduled.
The city is asking those needing to speak with city personnel to do so over the phone when possible.
The city appreciates the public's help in following the recommendations from Governor Herbert and in our efforts in limiting the spread of COVID-19.
- Cancelled Activities (until further notice)
- Senior Activities: All activities for seniors and all activities at the senior center
- Recreation Activities: The Rec Center and Rec activities sponsored by the city (baseball signups will continue for now)
- Justice Court: court scheduled for March 24th is cancelled, other court dates will depend on the next state update in two weeks
- Easter Egg Hunt: Depending on City Council's decision on March 19, 2020
